Morph Help & FAQ

Answers to common questions about scans, scores, subscriptions, privacy, and getting help with Morph.

What is Morph?

Morph helps you understand visible hair characteristics, explore informed next steps, track the care you choose, and compare your hair photos over time. Start with a four-photo baseline scan and return for progress scans.

How does the scan work?

You take four guided photos: Front, Crown, Left side, and Right side. Morph analyzes visible characteristics across Density, Hairline, Thickness, and Scalp Health. Onboarding answers provide context for explanations and next steps, but do not change visual scores.

Why does Morph need camera access?

The scan creates your baseline and progress photo record and supports visual analysis. Camera access is only used to take your scan photos; we don't access your camera at any other time.

How is my Hair Health Score calculated?

Your score is a 0–100 visual summary combining Density (35%), Hairline (30%), Thickness (20%), and Scalp Health (15%). It reflects visible characteristics in your scan photos, not your onboarding answers or care completion. Score changes are points, not percentages of hair gained or lost.

How accurate is the AI analysis?

Morph describes visible characteristics in your photos. Lighting, photo quality, and model variation can affect results, and the analysis is not a medical diagnosis. Morph is a hair health tracking tool, not a substitute for professional medical or dermatological advice. If you have a medical concern about your hair or scalp, please consult a doctor or dermatologist.

How often should I scan?

Morph recommends a progress scan every seven days, and you can scan earlier. Similar lighting and matching angles help make your record more useful. Weekly scanning does not promise visible weekly improvement.

What happens to my scan photos?

Your photos are stored privately in your account. When you run a scan they’re sent securely to our AI provider (Google’s Gemini) to produce your results, and the overlays are drawn on your iPhone. We don’t sell your data, use your photos for advertising, or use them to train AI. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I delete my data or account?

Yes. In the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, scans, photos and plan. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that first in your Apple ID settings. You can also email support@morph.hair.

What devices does Morph support?

Morph is for iPhone, running iOS 17 or later. It’s coming soon to the App Store. Join the waitlist to hear the day it launches.

I'm having trouble with the app. How do I get help?

Email us at support@morph.hair and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Is my subscription information secure?

Yes. Payments are processed securely through Apple's In-App Purchase system and managed via RevenueCat. Morph does not directly collect or store your card details.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Morph, or in Morph go to Profile → Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel your subscription.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the subscription screen in Morph and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you purchased with.

Why does my result show a Norwood stage?

It’s the stage your photos most closely resemble on the Norwood scale, a common way of describing male-pattern hair changes. It’s a visual comparison, not a diagnosis.

Why are the density and hair overlays labelled beta?

They’re produced on your iPhone from your photos and can be affected by lighting, hair style and angle. They’re estimates, not hair counts. If one looks wrong, tap Send feedback on that screen.

How do reminders work?

You can turn on reminders for each care item and for your weekly scan. They’re notifications on your phone, and you can change them in Profile → Tracking Reminders.

How do I get the best scan?

Use even, bright light, push your hair back from your hairline for the front photo, and hold the phone steady at arm’s length. Morph captures automatically when you’re lined up, and you can turn on the screen light in dim rooms.
